• Consent Calendar
• (1) Accept bid in the amount of $1,553,514.05 and authorize the City Manager to enter into a construction contact with Olivas Valdez, Inc., for the construction of the Pacific Electric Inland Empire Trail Segment 2; and authorize a 15% contingency fund in the amount of $233,027.11. (2) Authorize the City Engineer to administratively approve any street closures as necessary for the safe and timely construction of the project.

  Consent Calendar Item B

• (1) Approve the renewal of Memorandum of Understanding between the Fontana Unified School District and the City of Fontana to operate thirteen elementary school and three middle school grant funded after school programs; with the additional opportunity for future program school sites. (2) Approve the Memorandum of Understanding between the Boys and Girls Club of Fontana and the City of Fontana to provide continued educational and literacy services to grant funded after school programs; with the addition of a facility use agreement at the Don Day Community Center for after school middle school programs. (3) Award a two-year contract (FY 07/08 and FY 08/09) to A & R Wholesales, Biscomerica, Campus Foods, Coca-Cola, and Sysco to provide daily snacks to the after school program on an as needed basis in the amount not to exceed $240,084.00 per year (original bid is from Fontana School District Bid # 05/06-1180). Authorize the Business Services Manager to issue a purchase orders to the above five.
